Tuskegee University College of Business & Information Science

The Tuskegee University Computer Science Alumni Association is an alumni run group looking to build a strong alumni community that engages with the alumni community by: hosting meetups, mentoring sessions, exposure, and sharing business opportunities.

The CS alumni also engage with the current TU CS students in much of the same way (as alumni to alumni relations). In addition, the alumni hosts educational talks and workshops, and sponsor/mentor student projects. The alumni association’s goal is to be an additional resource to CS students enhancing their already rich Tuskegee experience.

Tuskegee University (TU) is a national, independent, and state-related institution of higher learning that is located in the state of Alabama. The institution was founded in 1881 by Booker T. Washington. Instruction, research and service define TU as a land-grant institution that embraces a wide spectrum of liberal arts, scientific, and technical and professional programs.  The results we seek are students whose technical, scientific, and professional prowess has been not only rigorously honed, but also sensitively oriented in ways that produce public-spirited graduates who are both competent and morally committed to public service with integrity and excellence.  Tuskegee University accomplishes its central purpose of developing leadership, knowledge and service through its undergraduate, graduate, professional, research and outreach programs, which encourage students to not only to pursue careers but to be of service to society and to remain active lifetime. Tuskegee University is recognized for its achievement as one of the top producers of minority graduates in several STEM areas, including the Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences; Natural Resources and Conservation; Physical Sciences; Engineering; Math and Biology (http://diverseeducation.com/top100). Much of the success of these programs at TU is the result of a number of disruptive learning initiatives at TU that promote STEM careers, including the Integrative Biosciences (IBS)PhD program, undergraduate research initiatives such as the Innovative Plant Breeding Research  and Experiential Education (iBREED) program as well as high school programs including the Agriculture at Tuskegee Research and Enrichment Kamp (AgriTREK) and many others. —https://www.stemconnector.com/member/tuskegee-university/
